While I am not in agreement with how she handled her discontent with Miley Cyrus nor do I agree with her initial beef with MTV , I do get her point.
The “check” heard around the world… “Miley What’s Good”
Nicki Minaj took the first opportunity she had to let Miley Cyrus know she didn’t appreciate that Miley had briefly spoken about Nicki’s Twitter-tantrum with MTV for her video “Anaconda” not being nominated for Video of the Year. Miley had this to say: “If you want to make it about race, there’s a way you could do that. But don’t make it just about yourself,”
And with that, I 100% agree with. Nicki behaved childishly and made something racial that wasn’t. It’s a stupid sexualized song that she attempted to put on a pedestal as if it were a song about social change and not about a man’s Dick size 💅💅💅💅 .
A lot of people put drama and Nicki Minaj in the same sentence quite frequently, as did the interviewer. The subject turned to the very dramatic beef between her botfriend Meek Mill and friend Drake. When asked whether or not she thrived off the drama of it all ( included in the context was Lil Wayne and Birdman’s ongoing beef) she became instantly pissed…
”Why would you even say that? That’s so peculiar. Four grown-ass men are having issues between themselves, and you’re asking me do I thrive off drama?” Nicki Minaj producing sitcom about her life ”That’s the typical thing that women do. What did you putting me down right there do for you?” Minaj asked. ”Women blame women for things that have nothing to do with them. … To put down a woman for something that men do, as if they’re children and I’m responsible, has nothing to do with you asking stupid questions, because you know that’s not just a stupid question. That’s a premeditated thing you just did.” “Do not speak to me like I’m stupid or beneath you in any way”
She promptly ended the interview after that. Well done Nick! Some times you have to gather people up where they stand 👏 👏 👏!
