rihanna-ft-chris-brown-birthday-cake-remix-lyricsA battery case against singer Chris Brown stemming from an alleged attack in a hotel room earlier this month has been dropped, Las Vegas police said Monday. Citing a lack of evidence, Metro detectives decided against pursuing the misdemeanor charge that was filed after a woman claimed Brown hit her during a party at the Palms, officer Laura Meltzer said.

On the morning of Jan. 2, one day after Brown perfotmed at Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell to ring in 2016, officers were dispatched to the Palms hotel-casino, 4321 W. Flamingo Road, to investigate the reported assault. Brown’s accuser “appeared to have minor injuries sustained as a result of a battery,” a Metro release said earlier this month. An altercation ensued when the woman attempted to photograph the singer, according to the release. Private security escorted her from the room, and hotel security subsequently removed her from the hotel. She returned an hour later to report the incident to police, Metro said, saying that during the argument, Brown struck her. A spokeswoman for Brown described the woman’s behavior during the party as “disruptive and out of control” in a statement following the incident and called her claim “a complete fabrication.” “This seems like a clear case of retaliation for her bruised ego for being kicked out of the party,” she said. Brown took to social media in the days following the alleged attack echoing his spokeswoman’s response. “Obviously somebody is looking to get a check,” he said in a video shared by TMZ, adding that he did not know the woman. “She probably came to my room and was too ugly to get in.”

Another win for Breezy 😊😊😊 .
